In addition to my handsome and amazing fiancé David, I kind of love Dave Barnes. He is a musician from Nashville, and his fan base has seen a lot of growth in the past few years. His lyrics are so poetic and beautiful. (David also loves some Dave. He’s learned quite a few of his songs and often serenades me on the guitar.) David and I have both gotten to see Dave Barnes perform live at separate times.
As of the moment, we are leaning towards his song “Amen” off his latest album.
I played this song for my mom a while ago and told her we were considering it for our first dance. She started crying when she heard the last line of the first stanza!
